الدرس الثامن




جمع الأسماء:

توجد عدة طرق لجمع الأسماء. ولكن الطريقة الأبرز والأكثر شيوعاً في جمع الأسماء هي إضافة s للمفرد مثل:

boy / boy + s = boys
(أولاد)

لكن هذا لا ينطبق على جميع الحالات.

فإذا كان في آخر الاسم المفرد ch , sh , ss , o , x (وهي يطلق عليها الصوت الأزيزي)، أضفنا إليها es مثل:

branch / branch + es = branches
(أغصان)

* إذا كان آخر الاسم y وقبلها حرف صامت قلبنا الـ y إلى: i وزدنا es مثل:

lady / ladi + es = ladies
(سيدات)

* وإذا كان آخره حرف f قلبنا الـ f إلى v وأضفنا عليه es مثل:
leaf / leav + es = leaves
(أوراق شجر)

كما أن هناك كلمات تبقى على حالها في المفرد والجمع مثل:
deer= غزال = غزلان
sheep = خروف = خرفان

أداة التنكير وأداة التعريف

تستعمل أداة التنكير (a) أمام الاسم المفرد ، سواء كان مذكر أم مؤنث، وتستخدم أمام جميع الحروف إلا خمس، وسنتعرف على الأحرف الخمسة لاحقاً:

أمثلة :
a cow (بقرة)
a suit (بذلة)
a volcano (بركان)
a heart (قلب)

وتستعمل أداة التنكير (an) أمام الاسم المفرد المذكر والمؤنث، إذا ابتدئ بإحدى الحروف الصوتية (العلة) التالية : A - E - I - O - U

أمثلة :
an art (فن)
an ear (أذن)
an umbrella (مظلة)

في بعض الكلمات التي تبدأ بحرف لا ينطق، وتنطق بالحرف الذي يليه، والحرف الذي يليه يبدأ بإحدى الحروف الصوتية (العلة) ، نستخدم (an)
مثل : an hour
فلا يقال a hour لأن الكلمة تنطق في البداية بحرف o (آور)

أما أداة التعريف (the) فتستعمل أمام الاسم مهما كان نوعه، اسم مفرد أم اسم جمع ، اسم مذكر أم اسم مؤنث ، اسم مبتدئ بحرف ساكن أم بحرف صوتي ، لا فرق.

مثلا كيف افرق بين المعدود والغير معدود وماهي التي نستخدم معها much و many وكذلك isn't و isn't

نستخدم much للغير معدود .. مثلاً في السؤال الأول في الواجب يسأل عن (الرز) فالرز غير معدود وكذلك little تستخدم للغير معدود.
نستخدم many للمعدود .. في السؤال الثاني في الواجب يسأل عن (البرتقال) فهو معدود وكذلك few تستخدم للمعدود.
it's للمفرد(sigle)
they're للجمع (plural)
it للمفرد الغائب
them للجمع الغائب
